Another Night In Patong – Day 7 Thailand
Yesterday, we spent the first half of the day relaxing at the resort, we were tired from the Koh Phi Phi tour. We have been very happy with our choice of resort. It is away from the hustle and bustle of Phuket Town and Patong, but we’re still close enough to go there to shop and experience some of the controlled chaos. I have been fascinated by the Thai language and have been trying to learn as much as I can. I have been asking waiters, shop keepers and our... Read The Rest →
Cooking, Swimming & Sunset Dining – Day 4 In Phuket
Today we attended our first activity that we booked through the travel agent – Pat’s Home Thai Cooking. We were both excited to learn the different techniques in cooking one of the worlds most recognised cuisines, Thai food. We were picked up from the lobby at around 9am, after another big breakfast at the resort. A lady was driving the car. She didn’t talk much and wasn’t very confident in the traffic. She was tooting her horn and yelling a bit, which we hadn’t experienced when driving with Mr Game.... Read The Rest →
It Keeps Getting Better – Day 3 In Phuket
It is now 10:30pm Phuket time (2:30am Melbourne time). We have had another fantastic day and felt that I needed to blog about it to make sure I never forget. Bree is in bed trying to sleep. I am pretty annoying in the sense that I like to wake her and talk to her. Anyway, she can rest, while I write. To be honest, we were a little worried this morning. We woke up to rainy weather. It had been such fantastic weather the last couple of days and to... Read The Rest →
The First Two Days in Thailand
Breana and I left for Thailand at 11pm Melbourne time. Flying with Thai Airways, we arrived at Bangkok at 4am Bangkok time. The flight was good, there was a fair bit of turbulence at times, but there was always plenty of warning by the captain. I planned on spending the nine hour flight listening to a long audiobook. Unfortunately, I fell asleep shortly after turning it on. My legs struggled to fit under the seat, so every time the flight attendant would go past with a trolley, they would hit... Read The Rest →
A Geek’s Bag
I am going to Thailand for 10 days with my girlfriend Breana. It’s hard being a geek and trying to pack light. Here is what I plan to take in my camera bag. Click on the image to check out what each item is (On Flickr). Is there something i’m missing? Let me know! Also, on the subject of packing for travel, I found a great video by Timothy Ferriss on travel packing tips: Share → Tweet
What Would You Do For Five Dollars?
What would you do for five dollars? Well, from what I can see, a lot of people will do a bit for the cost of a coffee and donut. A couple of days ago, I was listening to the Small Business Big Marketing Podcast. Host Tim Reid spoke about his recent addiction to Fiverr.com. A service where people can submit tasks that they are willing to do for five dollars. It got me thinking about outsourcing, particularly the things I had read in 4 Hour Work Week by Timothy Ferriss.... Read The Rest →
Little Johnny the Movie Sneak Peak
Over the past few month I have been working as the assistant editor on an upcoming feature length animation called Little Johnny the Movie. Here is a small scene from the animation. It has been a blast working on the movie and I have enjoyed coming to work everyday and laughing! In this scene there is Johnny ( Voiced by Genevieve Morris – Who you may know from the ANZ ads – She’s Barbra ) and Kev ( Voiced by Kevin ‘Bloody’ Wilson’ ). For more information check out the... 3 Goals Before 2011
It’s very common to use the start of a new year as motivation for change. Most people will only establish goals once a year, the New Years Resolution. Although I think it is fantastic to make positive change and set goals, it hit me the other day; Why wait until the end of the year to implement your goals? Thats why I have decided to start now! Its a fact that it takes time to create good habits. It can take well over a month before something feels natural in... Read The Rest →
